For those who are wondering how most Kenyans get around town, here ya’ go. I personally do not take matatus very often because I live within close distance to everything (excluding my school) and also traffic is usually so bad in the morning that more often than not I make it to my destination in time before I would if I took a matatu.

I’m also too chicken to ride a matatu alone because I’m such a pushover I’d probably get ripped off (depending on your destination, fare is 40 US cents or less). :/

The Reluctant Outlaw

Nairobi’s matatu drivers are generally despised and feared, but one driver dreams of beginning a new life as he deals with corruption, and other challenges, from many different sources.

I was such a bad ass passenger!, Matatus in Mombasa are less crowded and smelled better in my opinion, Nairobi is just overpopulated!

The Prophet(Peace and blessing be upon him) said

“I have left you upon clear proof , its night is like its day, no one deviates from it except one who is destroyed, and whoever lives long from amongst you will see great controversy. So stick to what you know from my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the orthodox, rightly-guided caliphs - cling to that with your molar teeth, and stick to obedience even if it is to an Abyssinian slave, since the believer is like a submissive camel, wherever he is led, he follows.”
